This article will explain what the different ‘User Types’ mean within Stream.
User Types are settings presets for user profiles. Each ‘type’ provides its own configuration of what features and functionality a user has access to within the Stream platform.
Settings can then be customised on each unique user profile, for example if you have a specific user that requires access to a feature that is not normally provided to the User Type that they’re profile is listed as.
The table below explains each of the User Types and the types of access they have:
| User Type | Description | Desktop Access | Mobile App Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer Services | This is for users who will be dealing with customer enquiries and may need to view order details or track delivery statuses. | Yes | No |
| Driver | This is for users who will be executing delivery runs and performing deliveries and collections out on the road. | Change Password ONLY | Yes |
| Operations | This is for users who will be planning and managing runs, orders, and vehicles. | Yes | No |
| Ops & Driver | This is for users who need the access of both the Operations and Driver user types. | Yes | Yes |
| Ops, Driver & Admin | This is for system administrators who need access to all features and functionality, account setup and configuration, including the ability to add and manage other users. | Yes | Yes |
