Can’t assign a vehicle

If you’re wondering why you can’t assign a vehicle to a run, or you’re unable to select a vehicle in planning, there may be a couple of reasons why.

  • The vehicle may be the wrong type of vehicle that’s required for this run
  • The vehicle may have a defect logged against it that’s making it unusable

To see the reason why, hover over the red flag that’s showing against the vehicle.

To view or update the vehicle details, you can click the edit icon on the left-hand side.


If they vehicle has a defect which is preventing it from being used, you won’t be able to select this vehicle until the defect has been resolved.
