Vehicle bookings allow you to manage planned maintenance and fleet availability in Stream.
You can schedule recurring bookings, such as safety inspections, servicing, and MOTs, or record one-off events, such as emergency repairs.
Setting up recurring vehicle bookings
When a vehicle is added to Stream, required booking profiles are created automatically based on its Vehicle Type.
These display with a red flag icon until initial due dates or mileages are assigned.
- From the main menu, navigate to ‘Vehicle Details’
- Select the vehicle from the list on the left-hand side to see related bookings in the ‘Bookings’ panel
- Single-click the flagged booking profile and click ‘Edit’
- Enter the initial ‘Due Date’ and/or ‘Due Mileage’
- Click ‘Save’
Once saved, Stream will clear the red flag and automatically generate the recurring booking schedule for that vehicle based on time or mileage intervals.
Adding a one-off vehicle booking
For any ad-hoc bookings, such as a defect repair:
- From the ‘Vehicle Details’ screen, select the vehicle from the list
- In the ‘Bookings’ panel, click the ‘Add’ button
- Complete the booking details in the pop-up window:
- Booking Type: Select the relevant category
- Description: Enter brief details regarding the purpose of the booking
- Due Date / Mileage: Set the target completion date or odometer reading
- Booked Start & End Time: If the work is already scheduled with a garage, enter the start and end times
- Click ‘Save’
Editing or deleting an existing booking
- From the ‘Vehicle Details’ screen, select the vehicle from the list
- Select the booking you want to update from the ‘Bookings’ panel and click ‘Edit’
- Update the details as required and click ‘Save’, or click ‘Delete’ to permanently remove the booking
