Planning deliveries and collections using Stream is a world away from manual planning. Stream cuts out the need for separate online maps, spreadsheets and paper manifests.

For businesses with multiple service levels or delivery types our latest release makes planning collections and deliveries even easier – and is now available as standard to all Stream Go users.

How to differentiate between order types in Stream

Planners can now get an at-a-glance overview of different order types right in the map.

Assign a colour to each type of order, and the pins that mark locations will automatically show up in that colour.

This gives you the flexibility to decide and assign your own pin colours and create a simple colour-coded system – one that works for you and your business.

Easily differentiate between order types in Advanced Planning with Colour-coded pins

What can coloured pins do for you?

By assigning and displaying pin colours on the map according to Service Level, planners can easily identify order types. How would that aid planners? Here are a few examples:

  • “As a planner, I want to quickly see which orders are for Urgent delivery so that I can plan them sooner”
  • “As a planner, I want to quickly see which orders are for 2 Man delivery so I can ensure a second person is in attendance”
  • “As a planner, I want to quickly see which orders require specialist fitting/assembly so I can ensure a suitably qualified person attends”

Making planning easier improves efficiency across the whole route optimisation process. If planners can quickly spot the orders they need, they can quickly optimise routes for those orders – so orders are dispatched sooner.

Additionally, giving planners the flexibility to identify orders types and plan accordingly reduces the risk of mistakes. Planners can quickly spot the orders that require next-day delivery or white-glove service and assign the appropriate resources.
