Brightpearl, the leading multi-channel retail and inventory management platform, has used Imagine Magento in Las Vegas to announce its ‘next-generation’ integration with one the world’s most popular ecommerce platforms, Magento and a new Point of Sale (POS) feature.

Magento inventory management and retail ERP has been 18-months in development is, according to the Brightpearl press release, the:

“Industry’s first to deliver a fast, reliable, scalable, and fully-featured connection designed to support rapidly growing SMB retailers”.

The advanced Magento integration provides small and medium sized businesses with a fully integrated solution that can handle orders and inventory across multiple physical stores, brands, website, call centres and marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay seamlessly.

Brightpearl’s inventory sync will mean Magento-based retailers will not have to use the Magento interface for order management, reducing admin costs, enabling more efficient selling of product bundles and delivering better reporting without impacting the performance of the front-end Magento website.

Once implemented, the Brightpearl integration enables the ‘Magento platform decide when to send orders, and to obtain stock and price data. Brightpearl immediately communicates this data as required, which ensures a greater customer experience online’.

It is predicted that the new integration will offer an array of benefits to Magento users, including:

  • An improved customer experience: inventory levels, prices and orders are synched with Brightpearl with no impact on the performance of a retailer’s Magento store
  • Enterprise features: full enterprise resource planning (ERP) capability and integrated POS that enables growing merchants to better compete by leveraging discounts, gift cards, advanced shipping, payment mapping and other features
  • Trusted technology: powered by Flint Technology’s revolutionary interactions framework; the new connector can process 40,000+ orders/hour
  • Rich reporting: integrated accounting and analytics provide real-time business insights.

New Brightpearl POS

Details were also released on Brightpearl’s POS solution, which will be available to users in quarter three of this year.

Muted for some time, the new POS has been developed for retailers of all sizes to deliver an ‘omnichannel customer experience’ which will enable them to offer click-and-collect and customers to return products to store that they may have bought online.

Maybe most excitingly, the new Brightpearl POS also enables retailers to offer customers the ability to order in store for home delivery. For retailers that sell large, bulky and awkward products and / or those that have a long lead time such as furniture, kitchens and bathrooms they can also integrate their direct home delivery operations with STREAM so they can manage their deliveries, vehicles and drivers more efficiently.

James Scott, President, Brightpearl, Inc. explained:

“Until now, retail associates had no easy way to provide top-notch in-store customer service based on readily available information like customer history, product details, and inventory levels. Brightpearl now puts such critical information at their fingertips. Already we have customers excited about the opportunities this will provide to compete effectively with larger retailers that use costly and complex ERP solutions.”
