Proximity with Scandinavian House has been shortlisted for the Supply Chain Solution of the Year at the prestigious Retail Systems Awards 2015.

The shortlisted entry is for the implementation of STREAM, an order, delivery and transport management software application at Scandinavian House. Earlier in the year, STREAM won the SHD Logistics Innovation Technology Award.

Recognising technology excellence and innovation in the retail sector, the Retail Systems Awards are celebrating their tenth year. The winners will be determined by an independent judging panel and announced at the renowned Retail Systems Awards Gala and Dinner on 15 October 2015 at the prestigious location London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.

Delivered as a cloud solution or ‘on premise’, STREAM features a unique collaborative self-service customer portal, giving businesses, their partners and their customers control and real-time information throughout the order-to-delivery process:

  • Improve customer interaction through proactive notifications, excellent communications and access to real-time information meaning fewer calls to customer services as well as happier customers, which ultimately leads to more repeat business
  • Drive efficient customer services by having a complete view of orders and their delivery coupled with excellent search functionality enables customer service staff to resolve any queries quickly and accurately with no call-back or hunt for information
  • Better manage transport costs by proactively managing your deliveries with efficient route and load planning, a smartphone app for drivers and real-time delivery tracking.

Dave Pickburn, director at Proximity said:

“We are delighted to have been shortlisted for another major award with Scandinavian House. This nomination further strengthens STREAM’s position in the retail sector as the ideal software application for businesses managing complex or challenging delivery and service requirements”.

Anne Ridgway, director and co-owner at Scandinavian House said:

“STREAM has become an integral part of our business – and we are delighted that we’ve been shortlisted for our second award. We have been able to expand the capacity of the business without having to increase headcount and make it easier for our partners to do business with us through STREAM. Ultimately STREAM has meant we can keep our customers happy, including not just our retailers, but the end consumer.”
