We are introducing the option to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) upon login for an extra layer of protection accessing your Stream data.

In addition to MFA, our efforts to protect data and information businesswide have been recognised through the accreditation of ISO 27001, the world’s leading international standard focused on information security.

Here are the key details…

What’s New with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Protecting your information and data, and that of your customers, has always been our number one priority.

We’re pleased to announce that you can now benefit from the added security of MFA when logging into your Stream account.

If activated, your users will be required to input additional information when logging into their account in the form of a randomly generated access code, which can be received by the user via email or an Authenticator Application (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Authy are recommended).

By adding this extra layer of protection beyond the traditional username and password combination, MFA helps prevent unauthorised access to accounts and ensures the privacy of customer information and data, enhancing overall account security.

Who’s it for?

All Stream subscribers can benefit from the added security of MFA and will be prompted to input this additional protective information when logging in once they have enabled it in the ‘Company Settings’ section in ‘Settings’.

MFA is currently only optional in Stream. However, we plan on making MFA compulsory for all users in order to maintain compliance with recommended Cyber Security principles.

It is highly recommended that all Stream subscribers enable MFA, to further safeguard their account.

What is ISO 27001 and Why is it Significant?

We’re also delighted to announce that we are now officially ISO 27001 certified.

With internationally recognised certification from Bureau Veritas, Stream is now able to demonstrate the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of our information and reduce the risk of information security breaches businesswide.

In achieving ISO 27001: Information Security Management System, Stream has:

  • Identified information security risks and implemented appropriate organisational controls to mitigate those risks.
  • Implemented a comprehensive information security policy, specific to the needs of Stream subscribers and other stakeholders.
  • Protected Stream subscriber information and reduced the risk of information security breaches.
