We’re thrilled to introduce Asset Tracking & Management, a brand new feature in Stream designed to effortlessly track and manage reusable assets thanks to a range of new functionalities. Say goodbye to lost inventory and hello to complete visibility over your valuable items.

What is Asset Tracking & Management?

Asset Tracking & Management allows you to keep precise tabs on all assets that are part of your delivery and/or collection processes.

This includes tracking reusable items like cages, pallets, and totes, which are left with customers and need to be collected at a later date.

The key features of Asset Tracking & Management

Asset Tracking & Management provides a range of features and functionality to help you manage your valuable items:

Individual asset tracking

Individual asset tracking allows you to assign unique barcodes to individual assets (like a roll cage) in order to track their precise location and history. This detailed record helps ensure easy retrieval and accountability.

Quantity-based tracking

For large quantities of items, you can manage them by type and quantity. This allows drivers to record leaving multiple items (e.g., “five pallets”) in a single entry without needing to scan each one individually, saving your drivers significant time.

Depot scanning

When assets are returned to the depot, they can easily be recorded individually or in bulk, providing an accurate, real-time stocktake of items successfully collected from customers.

Asset View

You can view your asset data as a comprehensive list of all individual assets or by your customer’s location(s). The location view provides a detailed history for each customer, showing all drop-off points and assets currently on-site.

Driver Prompt

Drivers can receive prompts within their delivery or collection workflow, indicating which assets need to be collected or dropped off when they arrive at a customer’s location, ensuring no item is missed.

The benefits of asset tracking

Our new asset tracking feature offers a range of noteworthy benefits for a more secure, transparent, and sustainable supply chain:

Reduce lost inventory and waste

By tracking the exact location and history of every individual asset, you can significantly minimise lost items and reduce overall waste.

Improved traceability

Get a clear and real-time stocktake of returned assets, making it easier to reconcile your records and ensure all items are accounted for.

Enhanced visibility

Gain a complete overview of your valuable assets, providing full visibility into your logistics operation.

Streamlined processes

Asset Tracking & Management simplifies the management of assets, whether individually or in bulk, leading to faster tracking and more efficient workflows.
