The Commercial Vehicle Show is the UK’s largest and best attended road transport and commercial vehicle show in Britain. Taking place on 24-26 April at the NEC in Birmingham, the Commercial Vehicle Show 2018 will bring together truck and van operators with suppliers and manufacturers for three days of networking and learning about news and trends across the sector.

The DVSA have announced recently that it will be officially launching its Earned Recognition scheme at this year’s show.  20 operators are currently engaged in the Earned Recognition pilot scheme.

Operators who achieve Earned Recognition will have fewer roadside stops and inspections, saving the time and money spent on managing roadside inspections. Operators will also be able to to use their Earned Recognition status as a mark of excellence, with official recognition on the GOV.uk list and the use of DVSA earned recognition marque for use in publicity materials

In order to achieve Earned Recognition, operators need to prove their excellent compliance record by sharing data about key performance indicator (KPIs) to the DVSA via an electronic system.

That’s where maintenance reporting systems, such as Stream Check come in.

Building on the core features in Stream Check, such as the vehicle walkaround checks App; defect notifications and management; and fleet maintenance management, we are working on being a DVSA-approved software system.

Although Earned Recognition currently only applies to O-Licence operators, Stream Check allows all operators, including those without HGVs, ensure they run their fleet to the very highest compliance standards.
