With one eye on Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the run up to Christmas, many retailers and distributors will be planning for the major conferences, exhibitions and events taking place in 2016.

To help with the process, we’ve put together a list of just some of the most relevant and popular events for next year covering home and garden furniture, ecommerce and deliveries.

THE JANUARY FURNITURE SHOW (NEC, BIRMINGHAM)

24 JANUARY – 27 JANUARY

Billed as the furniture industry’s number one event, this four-day trade show fills five of the NEC’s major halls. Over 400 furniture and furnishings companies will be exhibiting with in excess of 16,000 retailers, interior designers, buyers and specifiers expected to attend.

Amongst those exhibiting will be STREAM and you can visit us in Hall 5, stand number A15. We are positioned next to Scandinavian House, so you will be able to get first hand feedback on how STREAM has helped improve their business processes – and deliver exceptional customer service.

THE DELIVERY CONFERENCE (PARK PLAZA, LONDON)

2 FEBRUARY

The Delivery Conference is a one-day conference which examines the ‘complete delivery experience’. As well as over 30 exhibitors, the conference features four elective sessions covering:

  • Consumer preferences for delivery driving the ‘Age of Personalisation’
  • Expanding ecommerce globally
  • Latest developments from leading carriers and delivery providers
  • Examining the future of delivery.

RETAIL BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY EXPO (OLYMPIA, LONDON)

9 MARCH – 10 MARCH

As the name suggests, this is a major retail technology focused conference and exhibition. Alongside payment technology, there are a number of sessions in the conference in particular on supply chain and logistics; ecommerce and managing both multi-channel and omni-channel retail operations.

LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY CHAIN CONFERENCE (WALDORF HILTON, LONDON)

19 APRIL – 20 APRIL

Now in its 14th year the annual Logistics & Supply Chain Conference gives supply chain leaders to find out about the ‘latest industry developments, share ideas and network with like-minded professionals’.

3PL CONFERENCE (LONDON)

18 MAY – 19 MAY

With the 3PL market set to grow across Europe, driven by companies increasingly outsourcing their logistics and supply chain management to drive efficiencies, this conference brings together both 3PL providers and end users. There will be an opportunity to share ideas and explore current and future trends and drivers in the sector.

The 3PL Conference will specifically look at key issues such as:

  • 3PL and client collaboration
  • The future impact of eCommerce and delivery
  • Business models and flexibility
  • Innovations in the industry.

SOLEX (NEC, BIRMINGHAM)

5 JULY – 7 JULY

Organised by the Leisure & Outdoor Furniture Association (LOFA), the Summer Outdoor Living Exhibition (SOLEX) this trade only event showcases the very best designs in garden furniture, barbeques, gazebos and outdoor play equipment amongst others.

MANCHESTER FURNITURE SHOW (MANCHESTER CENTRAL)

17 JULY – 19 JULY

Run by the same organisers of The January Furniture Show, this Manchester-based summer event follows the same format of its sister exhibition.

OMNI-CHANNEL CONFERENCE (DEXTER HOUSE, LONDON)

16 SEPTEMBER – 17 SEPTEMBER

Omni-channel retail is one of the most important drivers in the supply chain industry. This conference brings together retailers and supply chain practitioners to explore issues such as:

  • Consumer insight
  • Ecommerce
  • Reverse logistics
  • Demand forecasting
  • Final mile delivery.

DECOREX (SYON PARK, LONDON)

18 SEPTEMBER – 21 SEPTEMBER

Running for almost 40 years, Decorex is synonymous with the luxury interiors and design. It features over 400 exhibitors and a full seminar programme.

ECOMMERCE EXPO (OLYMPIA, LONDON)

28 SEPTEMBER – 29 SEPTEMBER

One of the largest ecommerce specific exhibitions in the UK, eCommerce Expo brings together buyers and suppliers of ecommerce related technology, products and services for B2C amd B2B retailers. Amongst a number of other areas, the event will have a focus on logistics and delivery in ecommerce.

Next year’s event will also feature additional content on cross border trade, delivery innovations, B2B ecommerce and customer experience. Attendees call also visit the Customer Contact Expo and the Technology for Marketing exhibition which run alongside eCommerce Expo.
